Senior PHP Developer

Job Description

We have an amazing opportunity for a Senior PHP Developer in Johannesburg!

We require a candidate with:

• 5+ years of proven and demonstrable software development experience in PHP Laravel framework, developing Front-end and Back-end Development (Full stack)

• Write “clean”, well designed code that is efficient, testable and reusable

• Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality

• Develop and deploy new features

• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges

• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle

• Firm grasp of object orientated programming and design

• Understanding of Test Driven Development and automated testing

• Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX etc.

• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks including jQuery, VueJS, and similar technologies

• Good knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL

• Experience in creating and integrating JSON API's

• Experience using version control tools such as Git and GitHub

• Strong knowledge of web application exploits and their solutions

• Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas

• Experience in deploying Laravel on Cloud architecture incl. MS Azure, AWS and Google Cloud

• Having integrated with 3rd party API's from payment platforms and other providers, will be an advantage
