PHP Developer

Job Description

We have an amazing opportunity for a PHP Developer in Johannesburg!

We require a candidate with:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science from a reputable university.

• You have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in a development role

• You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in implementing TDD/BDD development principles

• You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a lead software designer and developer

• You are a proven expert who can provide an impressive body of demonstrable work that shows you have built and have successfully deployed reliable, scalable, performant, and secure applications

• Solid understanding of enterprise level PHP frameworks (Symfony or Laravel)

• You will be expected to understand and use best practices as dictated in Behavior-Driven Design (BDD) or Test-Driven Design (TDD) principles

• You have implemented Continuous Integration technologies when managing your release processes

• The system will integrate with UNIX-based operating systems and other OSS technologies so your understanding of administration and deployment techniques in this area is solid

• You also understand good front-end design and are well versed in HTML and CSS technologies and modern JavaScript frameworks
