The CareerJunction Salary Review has been compiled for South African job seekers and the recruitment industry to provide an overview of salaries in the country.

It contains current salary information using salary offerings on the CareerJunction website for job postings between October 2015 and February 2016.

The salary ranges listed in the table below are based on salary offerings for skilled and senior-level candidates.

The salary ranges represent monthly “cost to company” remuneration, and serve as an indication of the average salary offerings for each occupation.

Junior IT professionals are likely to earn less than the quoted figures, while senior employees can expect to earn more that the salaries below.

IT salaries: Gauteng vs Western Cape vs KwaZulu-Natal

There is only a small difference between Gauteng and the Western Cape when comparing SA IT salaries.

Salary offerings in KwaZulu-Natal, however, are significantly lower when compared to these regions.

This likely due to the fact that most large ICT corporations are situated in Gauteng and the Western Cape.
